He frequently told her how much he loved the way her body jiggled, she wished he wouldn’t use the word ‘jiggle’. Jiggle was problematic. She’d recently put on the weight. Yes, her breasts now popped out her bra and yes a roll appeared whenever she sat. It wasn’t just the word that was problematic however, it was also how his eyes consumed the unwelcome fat, like discovering a new love that was not her. Her body was changing. She knew that. She tried adjusting, but whenever she faced the mirror she saw his gorging eyes smeared with the word ‘jiggle’.
