Quick note: This recently came to me during a period where I was feeling discouraged and uncertain about myself, my work and my journey. We are all allowed those quiet moments of doubt, it is a transformative state opening you to investigation. Who am I? Where am I heading? What is the motivation behind what I’m doing? What change do I want to see? This can be a powerful tool if we let it. By that I mean not dwelling on the doubt but instead realigning this momentary lapse with your bigger vision, your better self, which will help remind you of why you are where you are and what you need to do to move forward. It forces you to confront whichever fear or uncertainty you are facing at that time. Having moments of doubt but also believing and trusting where you are heading and what you are doing, regardless, sharpens the tool with which you work to refine your craft.
